As part of the school’s philosophy at Abdul Rahman Kanoo International School, the school believes that focusing on whole child development is essential ; to develop student’s cognitive ,social,physical,emotional and spiritual skills. Hence, fifty teachers attended a workshop titled, “Becoming an Emotionally Intelligent Teacher” , conducted by Mrs.Shahnaz Bahman, as part of their continuous professional development, on 29/4/2008  in the school’s Lecture Hall .

The workshop aimed at introducing the concepts and components of Emotional Intelligence. The effects of emotional intelligence on the teacher’s personal life and teaching profession was also emphasizes during the workshop. Participants received certificates on completion of workshop.
